has anyone noticed colors in DVD menus on an LCD TV seem to be a bit
    "Fuzzy" , I have a Sony http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=KLV-23HR3&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=TVP+LCD+TV

And colors in DVD menus look fuzzy, (not anything to bad ) but not as clear
    as a classic CRT TV.
However the main featureas play fine clear def. and colors.
maybe its just a thing with LCDs because ive looked in shops
and they all seem to have it except the PLASMA tvs (which i suppose
aren't LCDs) or the ones that cost 1500+ .

Its because the LCDs have pixels (hence sharp images), where as plasma has the same quality as crt as in it blends the picture better.

Im using a HD upscaling dvd player and the menu system gets upscaled to 720p, so it is sharp but from a distance its blended better.

    Hey Sparky,

Is this the DVD player you have
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007YQO18/202-1831764-5806204

If so, does it support DivX and Xvid ?

Yes thats the one, its supports divx, but i have only played one divx video on it, and i cant remember what the bitrate was encoded in.
Xvid i think plays as i think the 24 disc i got was encoded in Xvid.
Very decent player via the HDMI (not supplied with player btw).
Also there is a hack to make it multiregion :D
