skateparks in dublin

    i just read in the lucan gazette that the minister for parks in the sdcc said that no other plans for skateparks should be put forward untill the the one in lucan is built.

    what are your opinions on this.:confused::confused:

    maby the lucan skatepark will be built quicker. if this is the case i like it. good for me:D :D:confused:

    This could be a good thing because Lucan should go ahead quicker and hopfully it means more can be built. The government was given a few million to build skateparks around Ireland. Does anyone know how much Lucan skatepark will cost.

    i think it got €250,000 according to asto in the lucan skatepark thread.

    yeah it was origannly €150,000 but it was awarded an extra €100,000!

    There is meant to be one built about a mile up the road from where I live - Bushy Park is the place, but plans are meant to be for it to be opened in 2009 if they get planning permission.

    i heard dat it had started to be built when someone got in and injured themselves and the parent started to complain:confused::confused:

    but dont know if its true

    well i dont mind we still are gonna have ramp city and ramp'n'rail
    im happy cos i live in celbridge and lucans not that far away
