I didn't see any of the show - tbh it'd actually make me interested to watch it some night knowing that he was gonna be talking. Well spoken bloke generally.

What happenned on BB so far with Galloway? How do you think he came across?

Half of him didn't now he was, can't wait for a Jody Marsh-Goerge Galloway conversation, maybe they'll get it on.

You think he came across a bit dozey? Can you elaborate a bit please?

And who the hell is Jody Marsh? (welcome to politics ;) )

    Im still in shock.

God knows maybe its a publicity stunt, or appealing to the younger reality tv/mtv generation etc?

But yeah Im still in shock.

Yup - he's MP for Bethnal Green and Bow , under his "Respect" party.
I wonder how his constituents feel about this.... he's not exactly going to be contactable, is he?

This says a lot about the man tbh.... looking for a cheap shot at publicity.
I had some respect for him taking on the Senate... this has blown everything IMO.

Sorry just went for a jog and christmas excesses have taken their toll so i'm sorta knackered and reading the words wrong.
Half the people in the house didn't know who he was and Jody Marsh is a slapper(i don't know how else to describe her 'profession'.)

Small party, probably wouldn't have access to the same funds as the blues, the reds and the yellows; so maybe he thinks it's a good platform to get his message across?

    Bit of a risk.

Guess that depends what he says and does. Yeah, sure if he ends up in a 3 way chocolate sauce and titty fest in the jacuzzi, he'll probably need a new job.

Geoge Galloway has never knowingly turned down a chance to dominate an appearance on TV, it could get ugly!

    Mike.

I'd say he'll probably be first out.... he's going to take the opportunity and over-abuse it.
The public will just get sick of his "stop the war" lark and vote him off.

Would have loved to see Boris Johnson on it :D

You equate this appearance in BB (all 15 minutes of it) as meaning more than his demolition job in front of the US senate

    a strange decision by GG

Shouldn't he have parliamentary work to be doing?

What with a thread on the West wing here and one now on Big Brother,we might need a forum name change :D

That said-He's there for the platform and to voice his opinions and to make us all see how lovable he is.
The problem for him though I think is, that I dont really see anyone in the house that will oppose much of his opinions on the War and GWB etc.
Though there are two americans in there.

    what??!!
This is pretty rediculous. Galloway is a great speaker, he's proven himself time and again (including in the US against the Senate commission).
It's sad to see anyone with potential on a show like big brother, but when it's a politician it raises serious questions. Imagine Pat Rabbitte on a show like this, his constituants have a right to ask where his interests lie

Though there are two americans in there.

One a cross-dressing bisexual who would seem an unlikely Bush supporter, the other..well she was on Baywatch. Don't think political debating skills will be high up on her CV ;)

Even by Galloway's standards, this is a new low.

    Actually she went to Harvard.

I heard Galloway last night say to the Former US basketball player Dennis Rodman that his reason for coming on the show was to get his message across on Iraq.
Yer man wasnt interested in talking to him at all - even when he was asking him questions, he got one word or no answer.
Galloways conversation opener was "oh you're from New York? I took part in a debate in a presbyterian church there on Iraq"
Dennis didnt reply and continued to look at Jodie marsh's áss
I cant say I blame him.

TBH dont' know half of them. Would be intresting to see if George gets all political but E4 will just bleep him out.

    Pete Burns looks freaky.

I guess it was just a matter of time with people constantly complaining that more people voted in Big Brother than in the real elections...

Hah, I love George -- this may force me to watch some Big Brother :p

Yep this is gonna be a nice platform for him to spread his message and get a bit of publicity methinks. As he was going into the house, he had his hands in the air doing the "peace" sign, saying "stop the war!"

I think that's indicative of what his stay in the house will be like :p

Should be interesting anyway... Gorgeous George is always entertaining, that's for sure!

BTW, anyone see the clip before he went into the house, of him being carried off from somewhere, by 4 police officers, and the press were behind him with mics? What was that about?

Politicians and church ministers were among 379 people arrested during a protest at the home of Britain's Trident nuclear submarine fleet.
Labour MP George Galloway, Socialist MSP Tommy Sheridan and Green Party MEP Caroline Lucas were arrested during the demonstration at Faslane.

Yeah and Sharon whats-her-name had a heart attack.

Jody Marsh is a model / celebrity who could make it in politics, if only readers of "The Sun" voted more.

/nods to Sir Humphrey. /brings thread back on-topic.

It seems this desicion to go into the house isn't that popular with some of his constituents!
