Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Email Solution Needed

I work in an office of about 9 people. We have one eircom email address and the boss uses an old indigo email address.

About 5 of these people tend to access the eircom email address through outlook. When that happens nobody else can access the email, so we have to ring around and get whoever has it open to close it ! We are starting to get a good bit more email so I was wondering how to solve this issue?

We have a domain http://www.automaticamusements.com, I don't even know who hosts it.

We also have a red hat server and a debian file server. Would it be possible to install some kind of mail server that that makes all the eircom emails accessible to everyone yet have a specific account for each person with the prefix joesoap@automaticamusements.com ?

I'm not sure if I made my point clearly, ask me questions and I'll try to clarify. Any help would be appreciated !

Your host provider appears to be :

    http://www.pwebtech.com/
So you could contact them for help.

The web admin management software for your site probably allows you to set up lots of email addresses @automaticamusements.com which you could then set up pop access to.

The following setup works remarkably well for me (for the last 12 months) and has been completely troublefree:
    • Fetchmail pulls mail from POP3 accounts on multiple providers
    • Procmail pipes this mail through Spamassassin and ClamAV and delivers to various local mailboxes based on procmail recipes (rules) I've set up (can be easily configured to forward mail to multiple local accounts)
    • One of the above (forget which) needs an MTA - I use Postfix
    • Courier makes the mail available on the LAN via POP3 and IMAP
    • Squirrelmail allows remote webmail access via https (talks to Courier IMAP)

the best way to do it would be if your website provider does this. does each user have a user account on either your Debian or RedHat server? if so you could forward it there.

(off-topic to Slaanesh: you guys make that cool sound surfer thing don't ye?)

99% of hosting providers offer some sort of email service with their hosting. If they don't then just move to one that does.

its not exactly difficult to do what you want. I'm not sure this forum is the right place for your question :) - but I'll leave it for the mo.
