Might be best to take the hit and trade it in - assuming you are buying another car. The Saxo VTR will have a very limited market, and so will be tough to sell. Most people looking for a Saxo are looking for a 1.1 - a starter car for a young driver, or a second car for limited use - i.e. something cheap to tax, insure and run.

If you must sell it for cash, I'd suggest trying to sell it on as many Irish motoring forums as possible where you might find your target market - probably youngish male drivers into hot hatches/modified cars.

As for how much it's worth - take a look at the usual Irish car sales websites - carzone.ie, cbg.ie, buyandsell.ie and try to get an average. Also look at the VRT calculator and see what value that places on it. At a guess I'd imagine around €2k max.

There is a "For Sale" forum for motors on boards - it's under the "Shop" heading. CBG is worth a go, it isn't free but I think it's worth the money (just make sure you go for an advert with a picture).

The following sites let you advertise for free, but they don't seem to have much traffic:
    http://www.eforecourt.com
    http://www.webcar2000.com
    http://www.carsireland.ie

Boards has a FS section for cars:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=495

    Also try:
    octane.ie
    cruiseirl.com

    I'm sure there's others, they're the ones I know.

Also stick it in Buy and Sell - it's free.
