Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was watching it at 5.30 and the programme was doing a piece on the Aussie national side. They were showing footage of the partying in the dressing room following the play off win and who was there in the middle of it but the one and only John Travolta! Complete with aussie scarf around his neck he was leading the team in a rendition of 'The one that I want' from 'Grease'. It was surreal. You could see in all the players eyes that they were completely starstruck. He had his wife Kelly Preston by his side so i'm guessing she's australian because I can't for the life of me figure out why he would be at the game.
If anyone could upload the footage that would be great....

Edit: Apparantly he was at the game as an official ambassador for Australias Quantas Airlines. Lucas Neill mentions it 11 minutes into this clip(warning: not worth downloading - takes too long and he only refers to the incident, there's no footage):

There is a few seconds of footage from the dressing room on this news report:

I might catch the repeat at some stage and upload it. I remember hearing about him being in the Aussie dressing room alright, couldn't get my head around it either!

I think some of the Aussie lads were saying what an honour it was!

TRAVOLTA OFFERS SOCCER PLAYERS A PLANE RIDE

Actor JOHN TRAVOLTA has offered to personally fly Australia's soccer team to Germany for next year's (06) World Cup Finals.

The PULP FICTION star, an avid pilot who owns a Boeing 707 jet, watched Australia qualify for the tournament in Sydney, and he's now eager to be a part of the team's journey to Europe after being touched by their celebrations.

He says, "I'd like to play my part for Australia."

What a man. You couldn't make it up!

Yeah if you ever fly QANTAS, John Travolta will welcome you on the plane (on a video of course!)... He is an ambassador for the airline and flys for them every so often apparently...

He could have been flying us to Germany had we qualified!

I've seen some pictures of his house, its unreal. He has a runway for a 747 instead of a driveway (probably has a driveway too mind you). He has Irish and Italian flags on poles outside the front of the house too.

    His mother is a Burke.

ok i thought the way it was working was he would reverse out onto what appeared to be a runway, but in the second pic its actually a road!! traolta is a legend and this story has only further enhanced my opinion of him.
