I like him, and would much rather listen to him than most of the crop of singer-songwriters that usually get talked about. OK, so his lyrics may be a bit cheesy, but at least they're fun! Songs like You Are The Light and Maple Leaves are just great pop songs. I love his use of samples and his nods to people like the Television Personalities. According to a recent article in Pitchfork, he's scrapping his second album and giving up his pop career which will be a loss.
