adobe audition not working!

right whenever i start audition its all looking good but no matter wether i record or import a sound THERS NO SOUND!!!! help please ps its not my soundcard it works fine for everythin else

well it loads into the multitrack if thats what you mean

Okay switch to edit mode (Large button under top menu on the left). Open a soundfile. Go to Options -> Device Properties. In Wave Out make sure the right soundcard option is selected, if you arent sure which one is right try each one by one. Dont forget to press play each time :v:

When you go to File->Open and highlight a soundfile. Press play to preview it, do you hear anything?

I can't import audio from cds into cool edit(adobe audition)
yet i can record from the mic in in real time???????
