Broadband weirdness

last night I had a little trouble with my broadband connection so I opened the routers config page and reconnected. After it reconnected it showed the download speed at 3Mbps and the upload speed and upload speed at 640Kbps. I'm assuming that eircom were doing something with the line in preparation for the forthcoming…

last night I had a little trouble with my broadband connection so I opened the routers config page and reconnected. After it reconnected it showed the download speed at 3Mbps and the upload speed and upload speed at 640Kbps. I'm assuming that eircom were doing something with the line in preparation for the forthcoming upgrade hence the chance from 2M->3M but are the upload speeds really going up to 640K or was I imagining things? btw its back to 2M now.
