Setting up ntl e-mail

    Im wondering how to set up my email with ntl. Just recently got it installed, so do i need to phone them to set up a new e-mail account or can i do it on the web? I've checked ntl.ie an ntlworld.ie but cant seem to do it there? Someone must know.....

    installer should have set it up for you and given you the details.

    It is usually firstname.lastname@ntlworld.ie

    It is a pop e-mail address - can't remember settings off hand - not at home...

    At home now ...

    POP3 Server pop.ntlworld.ie (port 110)
    SMTP Server smtp.ntlworld.ie (port 25)
    News Server news.cable.ntlworld.ie (port 119)

    Outgoing Mail Server type: SMTP

    Incoming Mail Server address: pop.ntlworld.ie

    Incoming Mail Server type: POP3

    news groups

    News Server: news.ntlworld.ie

    cable modem News Server: news.cable.ntlworld.ie

    News Server port number: 119

    webspace - ftp details

    Customer homepage URL: http://homepage.ntlworld.ie/user.name

    FTP Server: upload.ntlworld.ie

    User Name: your username

    Password: your password

    have a look on your desktop or in My Docs for a notepad file called 'ntl info' or something like that

    your main email account details should be there

    also - check Outlook Express (tools > accounts > 'mail' tab) as they may have added account there
