Quite well spread out for me :)
    Friday 12th May - Unix Operating System - 11am
    Monday 22nd May - Data Structures and Algorithms 2 - 9am
Wednesday 24th May - Maths for Computer Science - 2pm.

I'm happy enough, I don't have any Saturdays and I don't have any consecutive days. Looks like I may be able to get away without studying until the study week again. :)

    9.30-12.30 Thursday May 11th RDS (18th)
    9.30-12.30 Monday May 22nd RDS (19th)
2.00- 5.00 Monday May 29th Blackrock (English Medieval Texts)
9.30-12.30 Wednesday May 31st Blackrock (Gender and Sexuality in Shakespeare)
2.00- 5.00 Wednesday May 31st Blackrock (Language in Ireland)
9.30-12.30 Friday June 2nd Blackrock (Irish Theatre Controversies)

So mine stretch from the 11th of May to the 2nd of June, and STILL they have two on the same day. Poo? I think so. Plus, the chairs in Blackrock are horrible rickety wooden things that leave splinters in your arse.

Ah well, at least I only have to do my finals once, right? *laughs nervously*

Mine arent too bad I suppose, no Saturday exams or two in one day like I had last year! And I finish nice and early on the 23rd.

    Mon 8th May 9.30-12.30 (History 1)
    Tues 9th May 9.30-12.30 (Politics 1)
    Thurs 11th May 2.00-4.00 (Pol 2)
    Mon 15th May 2.00-5.00 (Hist 2)
    Tues 16th May 2.00 - 5.00 (Hist 3)
    Wed 17th May 2.00 - 4.00 (Politics 3)
    Mon 22nd May 9.30 - 12.30 (Politics 4)
    Tues 23rd May 2.00-5.00(Hist 4)

The consecutive days are a bit of a bitch... but meh I had all my leaving cert exams one after the other with no breaks til I finished and got through it so I think I'll survive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,983 ✭✭✭✭Hermione*

Does anybody else not finish til June? I don't which of the seven politics papers have my courses yet (I only need to sit four), but even if I'm lucky I'm not finished til the 24th ... or else the 2nd/7th June, what joy!

Finals... I'll never be able to associate that word with anything other than shivering, weeping, night-terror-inducing fear, from this day until the ending of the world... Thanks UCD.

    Anyway:

    Tue 9th May - History 1
    Thu 11th May - Politics 5 (what?)
    Fri 12th May - History 2
Tue 16th May - History 4 (seriously... what?)
    Thu 18th May - Politics 2
    Sat 20th May - History 3
Mon 22nd May - Politics 6 (ok, wtf is up wit dis?)
    Wed 24th May - Politics 7
    Thu 1st June - Politics 4
Sat 3rd June - Politics 3 (nooooo - Billy Bragg is playin Vicar St that day!!!)
    Wed 7th June - Politics 1 (finally)

Someone, somewhere in the Politics Dept/Exams office, has a sick sense of humour. Baxtards.

Yeah tell me about it... I'm gonna be suffering study withdrawal symtoms in July this yr, first time in UCD I can be sure of havin no exams in August...

The final year Politics exam timetable is just really really really ridiculously confusing. We have 7 exams, but there's no way we need to do all of em, cos I can only have a maximum of 4 papers... So... like... WHAT THE FCUK, Mr. Politics Dept Ppl?

Sorry, just needed to vent there...

Looks to be the same story as the German department - because the second and final year electives are interchangeable, they obviously can't clash at any time because people could be double-booked. So there are seven exam slots set aside, and it'll be up to the Department to assign one of their electives to each of the numbers. Like, if you look at my timetable, there are seven German slots in there, but I'm only doing two electives so really I have no idea yet what my overall exam timetable is going to look like.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

    Yeah, makes sense (somewhat).

Sooner they get on with it and put the "personalised" exam timetables on SIS Student Web, the better. As it is I still don't know exactly what my timetable will look like.

At least the History Dept has its arse in gear (sort of).

    6/6 - banking law

Very spread out which is handy!
