Its really up to where you want to go yourself.with all the nui colleges coming into line with eachother academically wise.Im doing it in Galway.im thoroughly enjoying.the only prob with undenominated is the quotas for next year.

If you have any idea what area of science you are most interested I would say go on the basis of that. For example Trinity is very good for Microbiology, Biochemistry and Immunology, and similar molecular science, Micro is also good in NUIG, but food science would prob be best to go for UCC etc.
I went to Trinity and I personally found the course to be extremely well structured, with lots of choice and a good balance between a varied education in science and specialisation in a particular subject. For example its 2 years of general science then in 3rd and 4th year you specialise in one subject. In other course you specialise earlier and other specialise a lot later..
Also TCD tend to focus a lot more on education rather than industry experience. For example there are no industry placements for most subjects, and so jobs are little harder to find but means you are a lot better prepared for research..

Not sure where physics is best though Im pretty sure TCD is very good in the area. They have the new nanotech institute which I believe is the first in Ireland and at the cutting edge etc. UCD I think are pretty good too. Not sure bout anywhere else.

Apparently, Galway has the best science department in Ireland. I plan on nursing in Galway. If not that, biotechnology, or a science degree. All in Galway. Don't wanna leave!!!!

Yeah, I don't to go anywhere but Dublin, so trinners for winners and all!

What are the labs like in Galway? Age and equipment and that?

They seem to be pretty much up to scratch. Id focus more on access to equipment and quality of degree/course though. The Dept of Micro is the last (along with TCD) remaining one in Ireland, in all the rest of the unis micro is taught in a dept that teaches some other molecular science subject.
Oh and apparently the Dept of Micro in Trinity is the fourth best in the world.
