Prob with iPod Mini

A mini belonging to one of the girls in work froze this morning so I managed to reset it by holding down Menu and teh centre button for a few seconds. However when it rebooted itself, an image appears with an iPod with a sad face and a warning triangle beside it. Anyone know what this means ??
