Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    What Operating System (OS) is on the laptop?

    (Check the settings on the router:- )
    a) Is it broadcasting? (Check the LED/settings)
    b) Is the SSID ("network name") set to broadcast?

    a) -> change the settings;)

    b) If not ->
    To set up the connection (Presuming Windows, XP)..
    Control Panel -> Netowork Connections->
    Right-click on the Wireless card -> Properties ->
    click the Wireless Networks tab -> click Add ->
    put in the SSID (Case sensitive!!) & details as per router config.
    Click OK.. Give it a moment or two, failing that - view available wireless networks..

    after changing settings with the card (changing the channel it recieves from etc), the LED light has begun to flash as if detecting a signal - but the laptop detects nothing.
    After taking your advice the laptop tells me that a wireless network connection is enabled. The signal strength is excellent but I still can't access the net.
    any ideas?
    The belkin wireless card configuration utility still says the connection is inactive

    Perform a Reset on your router.
    Make note of the SSID and do the above steps again - you should see the network. When you're connected, if you put the mouse icon over the WiFi net. icon you should see the network name also in the balloon ..

    Test then.

    If there's any issue:
    from the PC, ping the router
    (Start -> run -> command -> ping IPAddressOfRouter) and paste the result here.
    Also: confirm the OS, and if you're using DHCP)
