Hi, my mother has a 6gb ipod mini. Every now and again all the tracks on it disappear but when its plugged in and itunes is opened they appear on the player again. No files are transferred, it just detects its contents again.

This morning though the ipod appears dead. Its plugged in via usb, the display is blank, it doesn’t show up in itunes and I cant turn it on. It was fine yesterday.
