Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,
I'm trying to use fetchmail to collect mail from a pop server and deliver it to an a/c on my localhost. problem is the connection is dodgy, and drops at random, and the mail server at their end is dodgy and drops connections for no reasons. There's quite a volume of mails to be collected each day, and the duplicate mails from multiple downloads is very annoying.
Is there any way of setting fetchmail to download only 20 mails, then disconnect? so if it does drop, I've only got those 20 to redownload?

    Thanks
    B:confused:

There are some options available under Resource Limit Control Options. See man fetchmail

Are you running fetchmail in daemon mode?

    I've gone with
    fetchmail -d 900 - B 20

Strange - on my server, fetchmail flushes every message after a successful fetch. I don't see how duplicates can happen in that scenario.
