    Second time round.
This time I'm atempting to heal them.
Well keep them in for a few months at least.

All done by the lovely Mark at Celestial.
    A job well done.
Better pics when I'm bothered. :D

Nice piercings :) I don't know if I had the patience to heal so many surface bars in one place.

I was looking at my earlobes today and I came to the horrible conclusion that they are uneven. Stupid gunned earlobes. One is higher than the other and further out from my face... this is really going to annoy me.

    simple remedy: stretch em :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Gauge

    They are stretched :D

They're only 10mm, I had them at half an inch and shrunk them down. But looking at them yesterday I decided I want to take them up to half an inch again. They seem so small...

10mm is nothing to be sniffed at
i got new mammoth ivory plugs 2 days ago, il get a pic of them once i get my laptop back. tried searching for them on the net but couldnt find the ones they resemble

Haha. Yeah. Stretching is always the answer.

Update on the arm: It's coming along real well. Bruised as hell tho. I'm soaking it three times a week and cleaning it gently three times a day.

I'm giving them the best chance possible.

    Oooh.
Must give my ear some attention too actually.
    Ooops. :|

    Woooh, new plugs! Excited!

    I'm getting lazy. :(

I'm still soaking it, and I'm gonna make sure I give it the time it needs...

Anyone got any advice on giving them the best possible care? I'm going with the soaking and cleaning when I remember.

    Sekzceeee!

    I love them. Purrrrdy stuff.

Yeah, I gave em a decent soak today. They seem to be doing alright. I'm a bit concerned there's some fluid around the bars beneath my skin. I'm gonna pop into CR on Thursday, find out what the ska is. :)

Punched and tapered? Can you explain that to me a little?

Tis a way of doing surface piercings where you mark it up then use a punch to make the entry and exit holes and then use a taper to seperate the layers of skin to put the piercing in, minimises stress at the holes when use with a surface bar as the holes are at right angles to the skin. Personally i don't think napes need to be punch and tapered for successful piercings but for anywhere else on the body its the only way to go

Vertical industrial (when I had hollow plugs in you can see the end of the barbell :) ) Hurt like an absolute bitch, damn cartilage!

Nape pictures to follow when I become flexible enough to take decent pictures of my neck or find a volunteer, whichever comes first...
