Accessing Yahoomail

Anyelse have a problem accessing yahoomail in college these days?? I can't check it in the Henry Gratten anyway.

Ah, thats an issue associated with Yahoo. The problem seems to be that they're tracking the IPs (internet addresses) of the computers logging onto the service and once that certain IP has accessed the site a certain amount of times its blocked from accessing it again. Problem with this is that its probably tracking DCU rather than you personally so since loads of other people on campus are trying to access it new attempts from DCU are being blocked....

Hrm, it seems like DCU have been added to blocklists.org and since Yahoo use PeerGuardian (or so I'm told) we're being blocked. I've sent off a mail to the admin guys to see if they know anything about it or are doing anything about it atm. I'll let you know when I hear back...

Its really pissing me of that I still can't access my Yaho email .... Gurrrrr .... And I was having problems with Google too. Where are all the good CSD guys gone .... The others don't deserve anything!!!!

Yea I've seen those Google errors too, they seem fairly random though so I wouldnt worry too much about them.
The Yahoo thing is another thing, like I said I'll let you know what the admins say. Oh and cut CSD some slack the blocklist thing has nothing to do with them and tbh most of them wouldnt know unless they were told since most people don't use Yahoo Mail and the like..
