ok, im just wondering if theres any (preferably easy) way to split the available bandwidth between 3 pc's. what i mean is that i want each of the pc's to get equal speeds, so that someone downloading wont slow it up for the rest of it. by setting up a transfer limit or something?

    oh, and its wireless btw...

have the netopia wireless model from eircom...

3 pcs using it and to be honest the router does a great job of balancing the connection even if one person is downloading a large file - page browsing only slows a small bit on the other machines...

you shouldnt have too much to worry about in that regard

You might be able to do it via the router (depending on the model), or using additional software, or by merely agreeing to cap the upload limit in the program being used..
This has been discussed too many times, TBH.. Search.
