Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,

Wondering if anyone can suggest a basic program (doesn't have to be over-simplistic, just something manageable) for making a 15-20 minute compilation video comprising of both photo's and DivX files. Just something that will allow adding text, and a few nice effects will suffice. Cheers for the help, its for a "sentimental montage" for the end of college. :D

    Thanks,
    JoeSoap.

Not many programmes I know support DIVX without converting them first. I might be wrong. But there's trials around of Avid and Premiere.

Thanks, I have TMPGEnc so the DivX wont be such a big problem. Will try those programs tonight, cheers.

Do you have a link for those trials?

Why divx? just lash something together on premier and export as quicktime or wmv or both, they'll both fit onto CDs

The original poster was talking about importing DIVX's. Lots of software wont decode these, so they may need to be decoded before editing.

I'd be lying if I said I knew much about the exact specifications of the codec, but it seems to me it does drop frames, as part of the compression package, it's noticable on long pans and tracking shots.
