Ford Focus Car Radio

Hey there, posted this up ages ago and forgot all about it.

My Ford Focus car radio (standard radio) is locked, in that we entered the code incorrectly 10 times, don't know how that happened. We had to disconnect the battery to replace the headlight (thought there would have been an easier way to do this). Anyways, Ford supplied us with the wrong code apparently and now they say they can't fix it.

Because the radio is locked, I have to bring it to some place in Phibsboro called safesounds/scansounds or somthing along those lines so that the radio can be re-programmed. Shouldn't Ford be able to do this? Its been two months without a car radio, I need music!!!!!!!!!

So what I'm asking is, anyone know if theres a way I can fix it myself or anyone know what my options are.

    Thanks

The correct codes can apparently be had on the internet if you know where to look (I don't).
When I bought my Ford I didnt have the radio code and did some hunting around on the web. Try asking the question on the Focus forum here http://www.ffoc.co.uk/ or the Mondeo forum here http://www.http://www.fordmondeo.org/ and you'll probably get plenty of replies telling you where you can get the code for a fiver stg. I eventually found the code for mine on a tiny sticker on the inside of the boot lid- try looking there for the right code.

had to change the battery on my focus last week. mechanic pulled out the stereo cage (requires pulling out of the stereo) and the code was readable on the cage.

Otherwise ring the dealership of original purchase and they should be able to tell you

When the rdio is ''locked'' as in 10 failed attempts...The only place to unlock it is Scansounds.
Ford can't do this (how do i know..i work for one :D) Think he charges €80ish, I can't remember.
