Speed Camera Question??

    Driving home from airport yesterday, (m1 to dundalk) and you know that 80 km stretch on the motorway just as u join it..

    2 cops with guns... if you were speeding would they stop u there and then?? or do they take pics and send them in the post.. i was doing 90, then slowed to 80 as soon as i saw them...

    But others were flying past me..

    Think i am ok??

    They would usually have cops on motorbikes with them to stop you there and then. Unless you saw a flash they probly wont send you pics, those guns/tripod cameras usually only tell what speed you are doing anyway.

    What time was it at? I use that streach everyday and always speed on it, its hard not to! And its clear that they are only checking here to generate revenue - its not as if its a dangerous stretch or an accident blackspot!

    It was around 2pm yesterday afternoon..u know the stretch im on about??

    Its 80 km for roadworks or something... they were just under the bridge..

    If your speedo was showing 90kmp chances are you were nearer to 80kmp, and as the speed guns will have some level of tolerance, I'd say you were grand.
