Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For some reason, when i right click on the bottom toolbar and go to 'toolbars' and then 'quick launch', it dosn't show. now ive gone into settings and enabled quick launch by ticking the box because i thought that was it. but it comes up with a box saying 'quick launch toolbar can't be displayed' after i try to apply these settings!

    why is this? any ideas?

    thanks

I have had this problem before, it sounds like you deleted (or tried to delete) the Internet Explorer sub folder from your profile directory (where all your user settings are saved).

    Go to:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

If there is no folder called "Quick Launch" create one.
If there is, run scandisk (open "my computer", right click on C:, click tools and then scandisk). This will repair any corrupted files/folders and may fix the problem.

If all else fails, copy the contents of your "my documents directory" to the shared documents folder. Then copy any files on your desktop to this directory as well.
Go to the Control panel, click user accounts and create a nice new one.
Log off, and log into the new account, check to see if you can get the Quick Launch working, if it does, then delete your old account, and recreate it, log back into your new account, delete this temporary one, and copy back your files.
