Really should have thrown up a poll since you have all the genres listed out - coulda got some real results.

But for the record you cant beat pumping hot lead into any form of being in the first person perspective. :D

I'm very picky when it comes to games, while I've bought **** loads of games I've not played all of them for too long. The games that keep me playing are good multi player strategy games, multi player fps's, puzzle games, and inventive pointlessness that you'd find at places like experimental gameplay-in fact attack of the killer swarm hads taken up more hours than most games i've paid for. I really like racing games when they are done right, but the only racing games i've thought of as done right are diddy kong racing, mario kart, wipeout2097 and f zero.

I used to adore lightgun games back in the arcade days but it just doesn't seem right playing in my bedroom/sitting room in front of a TV.

I'm into any genre as long as it is a decent game. I'm not really into realistic simulations but it's probably because I haven't played any for any amount of time. I probably would like them since I really enjoyed Mechwarrior 2 and Tie Fighter. Not too big on sports games unless they are done really well such as Pro Evo and speedball 2, NHL and Madden but only really in multiplayer. I have no time for rubbish like Fifa.

games where you can jump in play fast and turn it off.

    Fighting
fast onle FPS games like CoD
    Racing

I occasionally play "long" offline fps games, but when it's something really good like HL2, or Doom3(I don't care what people think, I liked it, made me jump many times.)

Anything as long as it's good. Though not flight sims. Apart from Flight Unlimited for some bizzarre reason, but I suppose that's because it was made by Looking Glass.

I like MMO's but I've yet to find one that warrants the subscription.
    Beat Em Ups
Sports games such as Pro Ev, Madden etc. but only in Multiplayer
FPS' (but my PC won't run any of the new ones :()
    RPG's
    Action Adventures
    RTS'

though there are games in other genres that I *do* like. I'm not a fan of sports games in general, and I tend not to be a fan of very realistic simulations... they tend to lack soul. I'm also not really a survival horror fan, though Resident Evil 4 rocked, and I'm picky about my RPGs.
