Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it just me, or is a podcast just an mp3 of a liveset? (or sometimes a radio show?).

All this talk of podcasts, but livesets have been available as mp3s for years.

Take Erol Alkan for example, wouldn't it be easier for him to just post the direct links to the mp3s? Instead of us having to use iTunes (not all of us have iPods!)

Maybe I'm missing something about podcasts, but it just seems like the emperor's new clothes to me. Seems like a very complicated way of making mp3s available for download.

Anyway, some mp3's of radio shows to download here: http://www.beatsinspace.net/playlists.html :D

    Exactly Plazza

A Podcast is downloading an mp3, packaged together with a nice word for techno retards.

it's more like playing it while downloading...
    halfway between streaming and downloading

(from what i can gather, anyway. i haven't bothered using iTunes since well before they became popular)

The thing about podcasts is that you can use an application to automatically download them to your computer/player, so it's not exactly like downloading am mp3. :)

Spitbox, you can get it from itunes, just search the directory for Spitbox, or one that i listen to often is Despair and Videogames by Priest. And Bernie Goldbachs Podcasting in Ireland or Educast, there ok, worth a listen, even if bernie is my college lecturer, still priest is interesting to listen to, his brain not work too well some times,

Spitbox is my show so naturally im going to sugguest it, im in the primary stages but if you want to give it a gander click here

and the homepage of the blog is here

you can follow the show notes there.but even if you don't still give Despair and Videogames a go.

i think its episode 7.9, the host Priest spends, i think, somthing like a week trying to get FFXI for xbox360 going. Its real funny but the title is self explanitory so you get the message. Also get the backlog of episodes cause the guys really good.

here it the link to that site....Despair and Videogames
