Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just one little Japanese word that I want to make sure is right... is hiretsukan the Japanese word for b*****d?

Yeah, but I don't think it's all that common. In Magic the Gathering cards, it's used as the Japanese translation for "wretch" or "wretched".

It's amazing how the word is made up, actually.
    卑 - hi - lowly/vile
    劣 - retsu - inferior
(those two combine to mean "mean" or "foul")
漢 - kan - China, specifically the Han Dynasty. I kid you not.

Hey, thanks for the info. That's amazing!

I'll stick with hiretsukan, but then what would be the proper Japanese word for b*****d?

Um, do you mean the specific meaning of bastard or just a general derogetary term?

Well, just a general derogetary term.

Well, just a general derogetary term.

'Bastald' would be 'derogetary' i.e. no such word in Engrish.

Not being derogatory, but why do you need to know?

Also, 'hiretsukan' is not a little word.

    Garlach!

    Not your ornery onager
