Does anyone know of a Broadband provider for south Kilkenny. Ballyhale in particular. Its 15miles north of Waterford city and 12miles south of Kilkenny City. Thanks

I think Ballyhale's too far from any population centre large enough for the telcos to bother installing DSL equipment, sadly. I'd say the only options you're left with would be satellite (available everywhere, but crappy and expensive) or some form of wireless, which may or may not be available to you.

I believe NTL provide a wireless broadband. NTL unoffically provide wireless TV to lots of kilkenny. LOS is the most important factor. I know lots of people in Thomastown have it.

You could try http://www.premierbroadband.net but I don't see Ballyhale listed.

The only form of wireless BB available from NTL, is where they install a wireless setup from their cable modem within the customers house or apartment. You could try Irish BB or digiweb. They may be able to reach you.

Another option for you might be to find out about the crowd who run the Irishwan website. They have excellent coverage aroung Waterford city and parts of south Kilkenny and co wexford.

After sending a lot of emails. Nothing yet. The IrishWan.org crowd seem to have a great set up but not getting much of a response.

The guys name who you need to try and get in touch with is Brendan Keogh. As far as I know, he is also a member on here, but not sure of his username. He is a prominent poster on their own forum ok.
