Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

US TV: The WB and UPN to merge

Bit of a shake-up of the TV market in America (Viacom's Paramount/CBS demerger now makes a bit more sense) and there's quite a few programmes affected. Full details in the link.

This appears to bode very well for Veronica Mars (and Supernatural) which would have had question marks over them in terms of renewal. The announcement should mean both shows will continue to exist on the new 'CW' channel from September onwards.

Plus the combined audiences will be a lot higher, so more people are likely to catch shows than they wouldn't have done otherwise. (I suspect the only people who will be miffed by the deal are those who work for either channel - there'll only be one of either left in most regions when it is completed.)

Interesting...hopefully Veronica Mars will get another season and be exposed to a larger audience.

No sign of Everwood in that list, though. I hope that isn't a sign...

Ye that would be a blow...it has been good this season.

They only have enough material to make up one full network anyway.

Both channels do not provide any programming on Saturdays and UPN do not provide any on Sundays either. They also do not provide anything after 10pm. Both channels have a number of permanent repeat slots as well.

The announcement states that they will be using the WB timeslots but surely if they get better coverage an expansion of network times closer to the other networks will be on the cards.

Current schedules can be found here.
