Another one of those trivia question games doing my head in!

A friend asked me today if I could name all the English players that have twice been involved in transfers worth £5 million or more.
I managed to get a few I was sure of

like Michael Owen, Scott Parker, Rio Ferdinand, Jonathon Woodgate and a couple of others

and a few that I couldn't be sure of (I'm not gonna remember exact figures from early to mid-ninties!)

like Nick Barmby, Michael Bridges, Paul Ince, Robbie Fowler and Andy Cole?

Anyway, I decided to just throw it out to the forum instead of finding the answers on Google.

Chris Sutton. 5 million on the dot to Blackburn, then 10 million to Chelsea and 7 million to Celtic.

Andy Cole is right too. He went to United for 7 million and Blackburn for the same figure.

Both wrong I'm afraid, Villa only payed £2.5 million for Southgate, although they did sell him to Boro for £6.5 million.

Peter Crouch just misses the mark too Villa payed just UNDER £5 million, it could have risen to £6 million if he had played more games.

Well you have left Michael Owen out of that and he has gone from Liverpool for 8 + Nunez, so that's about 6 million. And Went to newcastle for 15 or so didn't he.

Sorry Insider but I don't think Crouch should be on the list, he signed for under 5 million when he moved to Villa, so he only has one transfer above 5 million.

Merson went to Middlesbrough for 5 million from Aresnal and from there to Aaston Villa for close to 7. Fowler went from Liverpool to leeds for about 11 million if I remember correctly and then from Leeds to Man City for around 7 if I remember correctly.

irish1 you are probably right about Crouch being just under 5 million but most websites/newspapers quote the figure of 5 million.

I know it is taken as on players as when I got the quiz it was in spreadsheet format where you had to fill in the 14 players names, if it was incorrect it would say so.
