Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am preparing to re-install windows xp media centre because I need to
partition the hd for a dual boot with windows 2k server.

I have no disk so I am just going to copy the i386 files from a network
drive and install. However I am just wondering will all the files be in
the i386 folder? ie all media centre files?

My second worry is about the dual boot, I have heard people have had
problems with .com extensions such as and mainly ntldr. Could anyone
with any experience guide me through this.

    Thanks

Should be no need to install XP again
    1) Defrag the drive.
    2) Use partitionMagic to resize the drive. i.e. was 40 now just 20
    3) Create 2nd partition with PartitionMagic, i.e. now 20 & 20
    4) install windows 2k and it will pick up the partition. If not(it should but just in case it does fail you can) grap any xp cd,run the recovery console and you can reassign boot order using the bootcfg command which defenitly will pick up all os and allow dual boot.
    5) Enjoy your dual boot system!

when 2K finished installing you can boot from XP cd into command console and use fix boot to refresh the boot files.

2K server and media centre - a strange mix
