Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I made a comment on the return of BFP on the transfers and rumours thread but I think it deserves a full thread for people to air their opinions. Read more below.

The Big man is back, and this time with a new challenge. Its a tougher challenge then he has ever faced before but I firmly believe that if anyone can turn Limerick FC fortunes are its BFP . What are people’s views on this one? Anyone think that he has order one more side order that he won’t finish?

The first division should be very interesting next season, you have the might rovers looking for a instant comeback, Finn harps who will also be looking to bounce right back up there, Dundalk with the fresh face and fresh side of John Gill and now we have Limerick with BFP and a consortium of local businessmen led by Danny Drew, who are willing to put money into the club.

For myself, this is going to be a tough test for Dundalk this season, but its do or die this season, regarding getting back into the premier division with talks about changing the league, we have to be up there. But who is going to be in second place: P

    The return of BFP

He is a good manager and certainly has charisma.

His eventual departure left a sour taste for a lot of City fans, but for the most part it was great having Dolan at Cork City.

    Certainly interesting.:p

I'll never forget Denis Behan scoring an equaliser 2 mins into stoppage time @ Inchicore in Dolan's 1st game back at Pats. Apart from it being one of the best away matches ever, Dolan came up to the crowd and to see the passion in the guys face, well it was uplifting to see a manager with such passion.:v:

If I can find the picture I took at the time, Ill put it up on a post.

Excellent, delighted to see him at Limerick.. Gonna be a tough challenge tho.. Should add some interest to Limerick FC anyway and draw some publicity.

This will certainly test if Limerick are all talk, or are actually ready to walk the walk. I assume if Dolan comes in, he will know for certain will there be money, facilities and DEFINITE plans for the expansion of Hogan Park.

It will also test whether Limerick is ready for Premier Division football again. Sure they have a great history, back in the 1960s and 1970s, but have never really recovered from their move away from the Market Field (afaik). Dolan has an infectious personality, and alone will/should draw people through the turnstiles. He is a great speaker, and is nothing if not convincing.

Hopefully this works out well for all involved, and we see Limerick back in the Premier.

    Re BFP
