Well it just depends what you're into... if you're on LiveJournal, then the Girl Gamers Community is very good for intelligent gaming discussion (with a strong North American bias, unfortunately - but not just for girls!).

It's not just for girls, there's actually quite a lot of guys in the community. The discussion tends to be more intelligent than most other gaming forums/communities.
