Port-au-Prince?

Bonjour, i recently heard a report on the BBC referring to Port-au-Prince in Haiti, pronouncing Prince in the English way. I'm puzzled as I would think it should be pronounced the French way ('prance'), but I don't think the BBC would make a mistake like that. Can anyone tell me the correct way to pronounce it?

In French we say Port-au-Prince in the French way. Don't know why the BBC pronounced it in the English way since as a former French colony they still speak French, along with créole.
