Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

its next to impossible to pass on a pitch like a ploughed field. Horrid game, good to get out of there with a win and no replay.

Probably should have posted this one here:

So Kromkamp got his first game in the team yesterday against a weak Portsmouth. It was a poor game by Liverpool, only 6 attempts at goal to Portsmouth's 9. Indeed the penalty for fortuitous, although Riise's goal was a good one, he was playing left midfield.

But from what I saw of Kromkamp, I wasnt hugely impressed. He tried a few things but is not as good as Finnan. Again I feel Benitez is trying to get in a player where we have a good skill, although for coverage, Kromkamp would be ok. Many of the crosses from the right position were coming in from the inside right position from Carragher. Kromkamp also doesnt seem to be the best of defenders, not good enough at watching players, reading the play etc.

Its only 1 game, his first full game though and with Portsmouth playing just 1 up, it was an easy introduction. But so far for me, he is not better than Finnan at RB position. I will give him more time of course and will judge him after a full 10 games (900 mins)

He did come across and covered well for the center halfs a couple of times, he read the danger and cleared it, i thought he was ok, i doubt he'll be better than Finnan, but as long as hes better than Josemi.

True. His displays will be scrutinised and hopefully I'll get a chance to watch him a lot closer in the next few matches. If he plays against Chelsea it will be a real test for him and also a sure signal from Benitez of what he wants. If I was Rafa though, I would play Finnan.

A nice goal by Riise by the way.

You can rest assured he wont play at RB against the rentboys, Finnan is the first choice RB at the club and Kromkamps arrival wont change that though. Having Kromkamp around does give us the option of using Gerrard at CM. As stated in the rumours thread he was very encouraging for the ressies against wolves.
