Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Every right to be bitter in fairness.

Prolly be another dire game though.

    Agreed.

Christ, nobody knows anything, I wish people would calm down with the "X is gonna win!" already... Liverpool could put in a performance like yesterday, and United could put in a performance like they did against Manchester City so, you know, it's all fairly open-ended and a little silly to be sh!t-talking already... I'm just looking forward to a cracker of a cup tie to be honest!

Lovely stuff, just the draw I was hoping for. Liverpool will be hungry to put the wrongs of the last game right and I’m more than confident they’ll go through.

I'd be quietly confident* the pool will do the job, they won't be able to afford the complacency they showed in the last two rounds against United.

*yes as confident as I was last Sunday:o

And hopefully by that stage we'll have taken 2nd off them in the premiership aswell.;)

Decent draw for the Saints, not perfect but could have been much worse. If we get these new signings complete we can give Newcastle a good go. Not expecting much from us, which can only be a good thing.

as a united fan I thought you'd be happy for anybody to score and beat liverpool....

I'm fairly happy with this draw.
Coulda been worse, happy to avoid teams that have a manager who has actually beaten us once, Rafa hasn't beaten us once though, and I don't think he will in this game. He hasn't gotten the knack yet for playing against a strong 4-4-2 imo, and with United having a slightly better midfield than last time, I think we should win this, but only just. If we do go out, it'll be on penos.

Perfect draw for liverpool. Was hoping to get united. chance for us to redem ourselves against them. Home advantage is handy aswell. Fingers crossed gerrard and alonso will have a better game then they did at home. WOuld of been handy to have a new right winger signed for it, but not looking likely now.

2-0 to liverpool. I presume this match is gonna be the early kick -off saturday or 4pm sunday?

Should be a good game, United are showing some good form at the moment , liverpoll will want to avenge their recent defeat in the league , Gazza to score the winner.;)

    Is that not true?
I honastly don't think Benetiz has gotten the hang of beating a solid 4-4-2 yet. I still don't think he has mastered the english game. In the european tactical game, he is a genius, and thats shown by how he can handle Chelsea, but in the solid english game, he hasn't been able to do that yet, and unt, and until then i'm fairly confident that we can beat them. Fearful of FA Cup games, cause anything can happen in a 4-4-2 vs. 4-4-2, but when it gets to this sorta game, i'm much more confident of a Utd win

Hasnt mastered the english game? Right, thats why were only four points behind you lot with 2 games in hand.

Arsenal not play 4-4-2? Beat them last season. Wait, that probaly wasnt a "solid english game". Infact the only time you get a "solid english game" is when you play united. The bang of ****e of that post is shocking phb.

Liverpool's record against Chelsea is poor under RB. P6 W1 D1 L4 F4 A9. So I don't understand how you come to the conclusion that "he can handle Chelsea".

And also have a look at the league table before you make statements that he hasn't got the hang of beating a solid 4-4-2.

Also please point out anything solid in the middle four of United's apparent 4-4-2. Actually scratch that I seem to remember you always harping on about how they play a 4-1-2-1-1, 4-3-2-1, 4-2-1-1-1-1 or something. So surely RB will have no trouble beating this European style formation.

The notion that you think the draw could have been worse because RB hasn't beaten United yet is total crap. Are you saying you would have prefered a tie in Anfield over a visit to Old Trafford from Villa or Reading because O'Leary and Coppell have won a game against United before?

As I said, what a troll.
