Dumb ASS mce question

    Just installed windows media centre 2005 @ home...

    but as i dont have broadband....i was going to try and down load all the windows updates @ work and bring them home, but i cant seem to do this as it wont give me the option on the mircosoft website to take them seperately..


    Am i missing something?

    Yes, a broadband connection.

    Seriously though, Windows updates HAVE to be done from the PC that it's installed on, otherwise..
    a) windows update doesn't know which updates you require and
    b) Windows update does not know if your copy is legitimate. (Microsoft is limiting a lot of updates to legit copies only).

    I don't think there is any way around this. Do you know anyone with broadband that will let you connect up your PC to download the updates?
