You would be best to ask a timber frame company

Ask the other 3/4 of the people what they think how long the house will last:D

How long will a timber framed house last?

Many timber frame homes are centuries old - some built in the 12th century are still around today! As a minimum requirement, all new timber frame homes must meet the lifespan demanded by banks and building societies for lending pruposes and timber frame far exceeds this.

I have one and I know it will certainly outlast me, unless I discover the secret to eternal youth...

    Hi,

I expect that the company quoted are not using the standards used in the 12th century ?

The construction industry accepted period for the term "Lasts a Lifetime" is officially fifty years.

Maybe Kadman can tell us what computer design package was being used back in the 12th century ?

From the differences I have seen in the construction standards I honestly believe the truthful answer is "It depends on how good the supplier is".
