Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking to set up a wireless network with NTL BB with a desktop and 2 laptops. A few questions I would like answered please. :)
    • What's a good relatively cheap router to get and where's the best place to buy? I also require a usb wireless adapter.

I was looking at this bundle. http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=304347&cks=SER Any good?

    • Is it difficult to set up wireless with Win 98 and a USB adapter?
    • Is it possible to limit the bandwidth computers in a network receive?
ie With a 10 meg connection, 1.5 meg for each laptop and 7 meg for the desktop?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Komplett are generally decent.

    # Is it difficult to set up wireless with Win 98 and a USB adapter?
    - Short answer: Yes. Check whether the device 'supports win 98' - and even then, expect some headaches (It's a USB issue more than a WiFi issue..). win98 SE= a few less headaches ..perhaps..

Yes. Use Search (Comp -> subforums, it's been discussed over a few forums many many times.)

Personally, I'd check out the Linksys wrt.. better support, and flexibility.. *shrug*

    Hi jpa,

I have a wrt54g and have no probs with sharing my IBB breeze connection, file transfer between 2 wired PCs/wireless laptop & printing over the network too.

    Very easy to setup too
