any wireless router will work with smart.
I suggest you read the manuals.
Everything you need to know about setting up the bridge is in there.

ive followed how to put it into bridge mode exactly from the smart website
    Open your browser to 192.168.1.1
Select 'WAN Setup' in the left-hand panel
On the PPPoEup line, select Edit
Change the VPI/VCI values to anything other than 8/35, click 'Change' at bottom of page
Select WAN setup in the left-hand panel again
    Click 'Create a new service'
Ensure the 'PureBridge' radio button is selected
    Click 'Configure' button
    Enter VPI 8, VCI 35
    Click 'Apply'
You will receive the message : "DHCP server will be disabled after PureBridge connection is created"
    Click OK.
Select 'Save Config' in the left-hand panel and save the config.

i put in my username and password into my wireless router settings but still no luck.

here is a screenshot of the only options i have on my wireless router.

set up your DSL router as normal.
Plug the wifi router into the DSL router via an ethernet cable and the uplink port.

    bingo.
    It will work.
Any configuration after that is standard wifi config like wep, etc.

i plugged the RJ45 into port 1 in the wireless router. the other end is plugged into port 1 of the DSL router. it did not work. what do you mean by the uplink port? the router only has RJ-45 connections.

im goin to work now so i will try more later.

    thanks

    on the wireless router
ports 1 - 4 are (downlink) ports for PCs
the other port is the uplink, maybe it's marked as ethernet, wan, www or adsl.

see attached image it's the one on the right indicated as 'www' in the schematic

Click 2 and enter PPPOE VPI 8 and VCI 35.

    Enter username whereever and connect.

You might need an Ethernet crossover cabel to connect some modems to some Wireless base stations.
