    Hi all,

Can anybody recommend a book on ASP.NET for the absolute beginner?

Also, is it possible to learn it from home without having to purchase an expensive server and database etc?

    Thanks

I have Introducing ASP.net 2.0 from microsoft press and its alright.

download the free Visual Web Developer ASP.net dev software on www.asp.net and look at the quickstarts on that site.
