John Bonham, Stephen Morris (hard to tell at times if its him drumming or a drum machine!!), Taylor Hawkins, Larry Mullen jr, Mick Fleetwood....

And my favourite drum 'sound' would be from The Cure's Disintegration album

A great man for funky lines during verses etc and the tightest fills. the backbone of Lizzy.

    Dennis Chambers
    Neil Peart
Steve Adler (not techicality, but he plays smart & interesting).

Lot of votes for Steven Morris. Always liked this description of him that I read once:

It occurs to me that much of the air of meticulousness, of intensity exuded by many of the post-punk players isn't so much that they're seized by the angst of the times but that as not-natural musicians, they're having to concentrate and strain every sinew simply to keep time, rhythm and pace, even when playing relatively rudimentary riffs. This is by no means a put-down; it's something I find profoundly endearing and thrilling, watching New Order's Steven Morris, for instance, 100% physically engaged in pumping out the high tempo, looping, percussive riff on "Everything's Gone Green".

+1 for both Danny Carey and Dave Grohl. I have to say Joey Jordison too :)
I know he is far from the best but i am drawn to his style but himself and chris adler from Lamb of God are the reason i am now learning drums

Id have to say my favourite drummers would be Travis Barker, The Rev, Travis smith and Mike Portnoy. In no perticular order.

There are too many top drummers for me to pick out one. but I would Say Terry Bozio. He played with Frank Zappa and the mothers of invention in the Late 70's. He now runs a drumming school somewhere I think.
His speed and precision is truly amazing. Check out 'Baby Snakes' dvd
