okay maybe i'm on the wrong planet but aren't liverpool and chelsea supposed to be playing today? Arguably one of the most important game of the season yet I don't even see a thread on this? maybe i'm just blind.. so if a thread already exists please point me that way, if it doesn't we can just use this one as I think this match deserves it's own thread.

    Liverpool to win 2-1

Fowler in the 90th and 92nd minute ;)

I was also surprised that Mike65 didn't start one. He must be to wrapped up in the Spurs v Charlton game.

I think this will be a very tight game with both teams not wanting to lose anything. It has a 0-0 wrote all over it, but who knows maybe liverpool will surprise us and play a 4-4-2 and maybe go for it from the start. I think though, if Chelsea take an early lead, they will shut up shop as normal and Liverpool will find it very hard to break them down. But in saying that, didn't villa manage it in midweek.

Five Live and Newstalk I would imagine

I really think this one is hard to call, either team could win it but I guess it just depends on the attitude both teams go into this game with. I just hope it's not a dull boring stalemate. A good clean fight with lotsa goals is what I want.

    Reina

    Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko, Riise, .
    Kewell,

Yeah looks about right! Don't worry with or without Fowler we will have Crouch standing tall :D

Not the lineup I had hoped for :(

[edit] then again Kewell has a better chance of causing damage than than morientes or cisse I suppose.

Hopefully we'll see a decent game today. All these hyped matches tend to be anti-climaxes. I've backed the draw as both teams will be locked up at the back and neither are particularly attractive to watch.

It'll either be 0-0 or 1-0 to Chelsea.

    The Chelski team is

    P Cech, W Gallas, A Ricardo Carvalho, J Terry, A Del Horno, C Makelele, M Essien, F Lampard, J Cole, A Robben, H Crespo
    Subs: C Cudicini, D Duff, L Diarra, E Gudjohnsen, R Huth

How convenient that Essien is coming back from injury just as the African Cup of Nations is heading towards an end and Ghana are out

Essien returns to the Chelsea line up for todays game.

    hmmmm
would like to see riise in left back for this and see Hamann in centre midfield with kewell playing on the left.
it was 4-1 to chelski last time and id like to see a more cautious aproach.

    Fergie:
"I keep hoping that something happens and tomorrow I will have my red and white scarf on supporting Liverpool."

It's always a strange day when United are cheering for Liverpool, but come on liverpool :) I'm hoping for a Finnan hatrick.

If Liverpool do win, I'd like it to be a lucky win.
If Chelsea do win, I'd like it to be a thrashing.

That could be a blessing but don't worry I'll be here to keep you up to date on all the gory details.;)

i,m not sure how I want this one to go. Even if pool win i still don't see chelsea being caught and of course a pool win would close the gap on united to 3 points with two games in hand.

As a United supported I just couldnt understand Ferguson cheering for Liverpool.I mean Chelsea are well gone. The league is over and has been for a long time.

I usually cheer for any team playing against Liverpool and today will be no different. But putting aside rivalries, surely it makes sense for United to hope Chelsea beat Liverpool? Second place is favouring the pool at the moment and I would have thought that pipping Liverpool to that spot is Uniteds only realistic goal in the league this season?

    I'd have to agree.

The only time I could cheer Liverpool is that it would 110% help United win the league on last game of the season.

I fancy Chelsea not to concede, just a matter if they can score.

because I would not be able to shout for liverpool no matter who they were playing, no more that you would probably not shout for Man Utd

    Pity Cara is'nt centre forward.

Alan Greene has just said Liverpool did make an offer for SWP just before the transfer window closed.

Good feed, cheers. I'm... a bit baffled as to why there aren't any Premier League fancasts? I know in the U.S. they are (were?) perfectly legal, and used frequently to comment on American Football games in progress... I can only presume that it is perfectly legal here too, since you're commenting on what you legally paid for, thus it's your content, as opposed to rebroadcasting their content...

*Fancast is, essentially, a podcast but based on fan commentary. I used it frequently back in 2000... http://www.fancast.com...not sure if it's in existence now - and not sure if people are aware of what it is, so, sorry if I came off as patronising!
