Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They generally are on constantly, going between low and high speeds depending on temp. Is the laptop unusually hot at all?

seems to be fairly hot on the keyboard, it normally goes high and low but the last day or so its been at a constant high.

    Just using it normally?

Might be very obvious but check the fan inlet for any build up of dust and crap.

You're running a desktop cpu in a laptop = HOT!
The pentium chips run very warm and placing them in laptop just adds to the heat, that fan is running at that speed for a reason, i wouldnt advise turning it lower :o, could damage the chip.
