Even if someone is a total cock and did something very bad to be banned, he deserves an explanation. I know it somehow seems alien to you, but it's the right thing, the mature thing, the "I'm above this nonsense" thing to do.

You can argue all you want about "I do this for free", "I'm angry", "I'm better than this", "Blah blah **** ****", but deep down you know I am right for there to be policies on things. Boards.ie, as someone pointed out, is not a "business", but it's also not the special olympics online: not every mod deserves a gold medal.

PS I only started having problems in PI when I mentioned that I find it difficult NOT to have sex with strangers in Dublin. I find it pathetically easy to meet women in this city. For some reason this really bothered a few people in PI. Coincidence that my bannings started from then on? Perhaps. But it is odd.

The common theme is therefore, if you ask stupid questions in Feedback expect angry responses, especially when make accusations you can't back up or dictate how things should be to people far more experienced than you.

I'm not about to tell the mods that they must engage and explain to every crackpot, can't-let-it-go muppet out there exactly why they were banned because:

1. They don't have the time
2. I'm not their boss.
3. It wont change anything, ever seen anyone here accept that they were at fault after being banned?

However, I'd like to think that a polite PM (and I mean POLITE, not SNIDE nor the opening shot in an argument) asking why you were banned (if you really can't work it out yourself) would get a polite reply from the mod.
I honestly believe that this is what would happen with the vast vast majority of our mods.

However, if you havent read the charters (and to the person who said they wont read charters, I don't ever want to hear you complain about being banned) or you have done something blatantly stupid or far away from "common sense" then I don't see any reason to take any further time out of the mods busy lives to explain to you what you can either read on the charter or should have had explained to you by your parents when you were 4.
