Anyone know where i can get a transit alternator, i hwve been quoted 360 +vat from Ford. I would like to pay nearly half that

Any scrap yard will sell you one for €40, I'm sure it is the same as some other Fords. Mongans Truck Breakers in Caherlistrane, Co. Galway always have several. Failing that, ring the nearest auto electrician/rewinds shop near you and ask them to quote for a reconditioned unit - I paid €80 for one for my Espace last week. If you want me to look up the Golden Pages for you, you will have to Paypal me some money I'm afraid....
