As far as I know there shouldn't be any VRT on that. The VRT goes down depending on what the year of the bike is. I was going to bring my 78' Suzuki GS550E back here from Germany and I was told the VRT was very little.

Give the Revenue Comissioners a call , they're the ones you have to speak to when you import a bike or car.

There is no vrt on vehicles over 30 years old.
    You can check here
    https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showBikeCalculator

    VRT is calculated by
2 euro up to 350cc and
    1 euro per cc thereafter
Then there is an extra discount for every year from new.

Do you know that this Vespa is in Vietnam and the seller is registered in Austrailia. Just thought I'd point this out incase you missed it.

    cheers for that lads,
apart form the VRT are there other costs involved once the bike arrives in Dublin port? Is there customs duty to pay- VAT etc ?
I want to be sure of the total cost involved before I order.
    Thanks again for the help.
