    Hi, Question if anyone knows!

How can terrestial (RTE1,2, TV3 TG4) TV be hooked up to the psp?
Is there aerial/tuner attachments out there?
Or would you go through the Web Browser?

    Thanks if Replied to!

I've never tried the browser for video..not sure if you could playback video from rte.ie or whatever on it.

But it sounds like you're looking for Sony's LocationFree box. You plug it in at home, and then you can use your PSP to watch TV from it - anywhere, at home wirelessly, or remotely over the net. You can change channels etc, see whatever you could on your PSP that you'd have at home. You can check it out here: http://products.sel.sony.com/locationfreetv/. These boxes are about $300 though...and it might be worth waiting to see what PS3 might offer in this regard.

The other alternative would be getting TV shows and encoding them for your PSP on your PC, and simply sticking them on a memory stick. But it's not quite the same, I guess!

I think it was announced, of at least unofficially in Official Playstation Magazine US, that PS3 will function as a LocationFree player.

Probably not for live TV though. They've said you'll be able to use your PSP to browse media on your PS3's hard disk, locally or over the net, but where does the live TV come from? PS3 doesn't have a video-in, at least in the spec they've announced so far.

    Really?

The same article also announces that it'll function as a DVR, so presumably either it will have a video-in, or the Official Playstation Magazine US has its facts wrong. I dunno if the issue in question has been published yet, but we'll find out soon enough I guess.

[edit]The magazine in question is actually PSM, so presumably not quite as reliable.[/edit]

PSM is pretty reliable, and their article ties in with the Sony statements very well indeed.

    Thanks for the advice!
One last question though, are there microphone attachments for the psp, which would use the memory card? as in an external attachment.
    All the best!
