    Anyone use these ... http://www.lowenergy.ie/solo.html
Would you recommend them, what are the pros and cons?

We didn't go for solos but we were thinking about it initially. What put me off was the look of them and the cost. We are doing a new build so we had the luxury of putting in ufh instead which wasn't much more than buying solos and getting them plumbed.

Also doing a new build with UFH (possibly with Geothermal). Thought that Solos might be better upstairs than UFH - quicker to warm up and would work better with carpet over wooden floors.
What kind of price were you quoted?

We also considered it but didnt go with it - went with conventional radiators in the end. What put us off was the fan - which although seems like a neat design and is claimed to be almost silent could create more dust and blackening around the radiator openings and the cost of running these which with the help of 'Goll Mac Morna' we worked out would be about 10w per rad approx €20-30 per rad per year. We needed about 15 radiators so the cost quickly added up and that was before you applied the fuel cost. Calculations are very approximate and may be way off.

However on the plus side, they would probably save that amount in their efficiency and take up very little room as well as providing very good heating control.
