Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. As if the tag divsion couldnt get any worse the Heart Throbs have been released. Granted they never really took off but still, it only leads to a lack of competition on Raw for the straps so another makeshift duo can take them.

the tag division is dead at the moment, actually soo is the i.c title, when was the last time ric flair defended it????

back to the tag division: i cant see any how the big show and kane are gonna be beaten.....

i reckon they are ultimately going to have a unification match between the raw and sd champs, sd seem to be going for niche markets now, the only real tag team division(not exactly full ) the cruiserweights the juniors.
it's been obvious for a while and especially with the break up of murdoch and cade(the best new team in a long time) that Raw doesn't want tag teams and the belts are just somethin for big show and kane to do while they have no story

Just looking at the shows rosters. Smackdown has so much more talent than Raw. They just need to shift two or so teams over to Raw and it'll be good to go. Gymini and the Dicks have nothing to do over on Smackdown.

i reckon the best tag teams ever are.
    1 edge and christen
    2 the dudley boys
    3 the hardy boys
    4 mnm
5 the quabekers ( not sure about spelling)
    that what i think.
wwe should do something about the state of the tag teams now.

I heard that The Heart Throbs gimmick went over well in OVW. I thought that WWE were sending them back to OVW but instead they had them in the same matches over and over again on Heat.

The only sort of tag teams that are on Raw (or should I say Heat) are Venis/Visera and Snitksy/Tomko (possibly broken up). Smackdown seem to have the better tag team division with MNM, Gymini, The Dicks, Mexicool, London & Kendrick (Carefree Devils as Taz called them)

Just looking at the Bret Hart dvd remined me of just how many really good tag teams they had. It was an actual serious division. Your right, those were the days.

caught viscera and val venis on heat last night, they really seemed to work together, reminded me of the old days of tag teams... really enjoyed their match TBH..

is it good man, i was thinking of getting it alright, i was a hart foundation mark, still like bret, was one of those caught in the middle liked dx liked the hart family people in 97, i was just wary of forking out 40 bucks in case it wasn't great

I think its 34 euro on silvervision. The 2 hour documentary is worth it alone. Not to mention:
Hart Foundation vs. British Bulldogs (Madison Square Garden, 13/07/85)

Hart Foundation vs. Killer Bees (Madison Square Garden, 17/02/86)

Bret Hart vs. Ricky Streamboat (Boston Garden, 08/03/86)

Bret Hart vs. Ted DiBiase (Odessa, TX, 08/03/89)

Hart Foundation vs. Rockers (Saturday Night's Main Event, 28/04/90)

    WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Hart Foundation vs. Nasty Boys (Wrestlemania VII, 24/03/91)

    WWE Intercontinental Match
Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect (SummerSlam, 26/08/91)

    WWE Intercontinental Match
Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog (SummerSlam, 29/08/92)

Bret Hart vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (Barcelona, Spain, 24/04/93)

King of the Ring Semi-Final Match
Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect (King of the Ring, 13/06/93)

Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (Wrestlemania X, 20/03/94)

    WWE Championship Match
Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart (White Plains, NY, 29/09/94)

Bret Hart vs Hakushi (In Your House, 14/05/95)

    WWE Championship Match
Bret Hart vs. Diesel (Survivor Series, 19/11/95)

    WWE Championship Match
Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog (In Your House, 17/12/95)

    Submission Match
Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Wrestlemania 13, 23/03/97)

    WWE Championship Match
Bret Hart vs. Undertaker (One Night Only, 20/09/97)

    Owen Hart Tribute Match
Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit (WCW Nitro, 04/10/99)

    I think its worth it.

I've been saying it for a while now, and it's true, smackdown is the better show (despite its reputation). Sure everyone mocked the juniors when the first appeared, but those matches have been very good. The U.S. title is coming back to life, as are the tag team titles, even the cruiserweights getting a bit of tv time.

Smackdown have slowly being building back up their tag ranks. The Mexicools, and MNM are pretty good, if london and kendrick get a chance to mix it up properly with the other two, we could all be in for some very enjoyable matches.

Throw in Gymini as more of an APA powerhouse team, I can nearly see the Dicks play a too cool type role.

Hopefully the newer teams will have a bit of time to establish themselves, and all of a sudden we have one great tag division. Ideally the E would bring the bashams back to the smackdown, that is a team I became a fan of after seeing them live, very entertaining.

Smackdown is more balanced and kind of revolves around the belts in question whilst building new people into the mix. Raw just tries to create stellar matches regardless of belts.

Remember the first couple of Survivor Series' when they had five (Proper) tag teams versus another five, 20 men participating in all? I've heard it said that the matches were a bit of a shambles, too many guys trying to work in the one match, but I thought they were great.
WWE couldn’t have a match with 10 legit tag teams now unless they drafted in the TNA teams
    .

I think everyone forgets that the tag team division went downhill since the brand split. I know its been YEARS since this happened, but with only one show a week, and about 4weeks between every PPV, the wwe's ability to develop good competition in a division has been on a steady downhill.

Everyone remembers the days when there would be 4/5 tag teams after the belts. Now, they're throwing together teams for a couple of weeks just to have the belts on tv. the new L.O.D is case in point.

No probs when you get the dvd and watch the documentary, at the end of the Stampede section keep an eye out for the stiffest forearm in the world delivered by Stu Hart.
The clips of Bret wrestling Dynamite kid in Stampde in the late 70s early 80s is also somthing to watch out for.
