Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I'm trying to create a backup script using winrar to zip up specific folders and files using the following syntax:

REM *** a=add to archive, -m5=best compression, compress path, backup list file (but only include files not dirs!)
    rar a -m5 e:\Criticals\emails.rar @e:\Criticals\Latest\emails.bak

    emails.bak would hold this line:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\*

ie, the rar cmd is given this path to find files.

(but only picks up the current directory of files - doesn't pick up subdirectories or subfiles!!! I want all backed up)
ie This line is read by winrar as "zip up the files in this directory"

Maybe Admins experts would know a way around this? Or recommend a better way? Or maybe a nice tool?

*Update -> I see a tool called MyZippa which can save various combinations of folders into profiles which can quickly be loaded or run via the command line (useful for backup purposes.. this might be useful since it can integrate with winrar.

7zip, or learn how to use the command line parameters of rar properly (hint: recursive).
